A Romantic Burgundy and Mauve Wedding at the Woodmark Hotel

Alexa and Matt’s late summer waterfront wedding at the Woodmark Hotel brought together a beautiful blush, mauve, and burgundy color palette. I sometimes hear florists complain about the ‘basic’ or ‘boring’ blush and burgundy color palette, but I think that it, like any color combination, can be fun and refreshing if reimagined!

August is a great time of year for this color palette. We used garden roses, dahlias, and lisianthus as focal flowers, with all sorts of fun, textural accents like Kent Beauty oregano, blush snowberry, and chocolate lace. For the ceremony, we installed a partial arch on the tent at the Woodmark, with arrangements down the aisle along the white aisle runner. We adorned the ombre escort card display with florals, and placed bud vase arrangements on cocktail tables. During the cocktail hour, we set dinner tables with romantic blush and burgundy centerpieces. The bride’s aunt made their beautiful wedding cake, to which we added fresh flowers around the base and top.

Congratulations to Alexa and Matt on a beautiful Woodmark Hotel wedding!

Many thanks to this talented vendor team!
